Happy Halloween, everyone! Here is my take on blood-splatter nails. I mixed a burgundy with a few drops of Essie's Little Brown Dress to get the blood color. I have to say, it's actually a little gross-looking, so I think I got a pretty accurate color. Blech. The background color is Orly Porcelain.

So, I read this post on make-your-own decals, and voila! Decals that work! Cool things about making decals: if you're not great doing nail art with your non-dominant hand, this is a good solution. Also, doing a water marble decal uses a lot less product that going finger-by-finger. I admit that none of the nail art below is that great, but I'm showing it because I'm just so pleased that it worked so well!

Okay, I admit it, I prepped these photos over the summer and totally forgot to post them. This is China Glaze Riding the Waves from their summer neons collection. Since it's a jelly, and I'm not a huge fan of VNL, I put it over a quick-dry silver. I kind of like the effect. This is a very pretty polish, and if you're a fan of jellies, this was a nice one is application, color, and opacity.
